TECLA is the world’s first 3D-printed house made entirely from local raw earth.
Designed by Mario Cucinella Architects and engineered by 3D-printing pioneers WASP, the eco-housing model addresses both the climate crisis and the global housing shortage. The structure is built using a modular multi-crane printing system that mixes local soil with water and natural fibers, completely eliminating industrial waste.
Its unique, dual-dome silhouette optimizes structural stability and thermal insulation, allowing the earthen walls to naturally regulate indoor temperatures. Inside, the open-plan layout blends organic curves with minimalist custom furniture, proving that sustainable, zero-emission architecture doesn’t have to compromise on high-design aesthetics.
