Epperson Mountaineering Large Camp Tote

Epperson Mountaineering has been on a single-minded quest to build the perfect pack since 1973. Founded by outdoorsman Mark Epperson in Libby, Montana, the heritage label was born out of frustration with the flimsy outdoor gear of the era. Epperson began hand-making his own rugged climbing gear to survive the punishing conditions of the Rocky Mountains, establishing a legacy of heavy-duty reliability. Decades later, the brand is experiencing a modern revival under the creative direction of Yuki Matsuda and the California-based Meg Company, breathing bold colorways and distinct Japanese-inflected aesthetics into archival American silhouettes.
The Large Camp Tote is cut from DWR-coated 1000 denier Cordura nylon, giving it the uncanny ability to shed water and resist heavy abrasions while remaining exceptionally lightweight. Its bold, eye-catching dual-color aesthetic is framed by military-grade tubular nylon webbing handles, reinforced with extensive bar-tack stitching at every high-stress point to survive punishing payloads.
For maximum modularity, the exterior features dual climbing-spec daisy chain webbing loops on either side for clipping extra gear, while the top utilizes a secure snap button closure alongside a drawcord system for quick cinching. Inside, a single accessory pocket keeps smaller essentials organized, and full binding finishes ensure the interior looks as clean as the outside. True to the brand’s original 1970s ethos, each tote is individually scrutinized and proudly built by artisan pack makers.
