Designed by Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon in 2006, the BD Barcelona Multileg Cabinet takes a standard rectilinear sideboard and injects it with a heavy dose of Surrealist personality. At eye level, the piece is remarkably restrained—a sleek, monolithic storage box crafted from MDF with clean lines, soft-close drawers, and push-to-open doors. Look below the waterline, however, and the minimalism gives way to absolute visual chaos.

The cabinet’s defining feature is its base, which pairs up to 12 distinct, sculptural leg profiles—ranging from classical turned spindles and fluted columns to geometric blocks, spheres, and warped trumpets. Crafted with solid alder wood legs, modular sizing options up to three meters wide, and high-end finishes like 20mm marble tops and moody high-gloss lacquers, it stands as equal parts functional credenza and modern artwork designed to anchor any room.
